Description
Circuit Bender
Make it. Play it. Bend it. Break it.
Circuit Bender is one program for the whole journey: writing a track, recording it, mixing it, and playing it live in front of a crowd. It’s built for electronic music and for people who perform it.
Built for the stage
- The Performance Core: launch patterns and scenes in time, build drops, fire effects and morph sounds live, with safety tools so a set never stops by accident.
- DJ decks: mix your own tracks on 2 or 4 decks with sync, key lock, hot cues, loops, rolls, a DJ mixer with EQ kills and filters, headphone cueing and frequency-coloured waveforms. Your live synths and drums play in time over the tracks.
- Plug and play controllers: ready-made setups for over a dozen popular DJ controllers, and any MIDI controller can be learned by pressing its buttons.
- Record the set: the whole performance to a file, with a separate track for every channel.
A full studio
- Multitrack recording with takes, punch-in, headphone mixes, fades, time-stretch and a complete audio editor.
- MIDI with a piano roll, sheet-music view, step input, controller lanes, and capture of whatever you just played, even without pressing record.
- Pitch correction, audio-to-MIDI, noise and click repair, groove templates and varispeed.
- Mixing and mastering: sends, a mastering chain, a console-style master bus, and 5.1 / 7.1 surround.
- Your plugins too: host your VST3 plugins, each in its own safe space so a crashing plugin can’t take your set down.
- Tag editor: edit the title, artist, BPM, key and artwork of any sound file.
Over 100 devices
Synths (wavetable, FM, granular, additive, semi-modular, west-coast modular), samplers and drum machines, physically modelled instruments, reverbs, delays, distortions, compressors, filters, arpeggiators, chord tools and more, all with hands-on panels you can rearrange.
Make them unreliable, if you dare: every device starts clean, but you can turn up its Condition and Chaos for crackle, drift and happy accidents.
Use them anywhere: 83 of the devices also come as VST3 plugins for your other music software, at no extra cost.

The Corruption Module
Infect your music. Watch it spread.
Press Corrupt on any device, one of ours or any VST3 plugin you own, and the infection takes hold. Techno-organic vines creep in from the edges, branching across the panel. Joints pulse with sickly light, tips twitch and probe, and stains spread across the faceplate. It grows slowly, on its own schedule, and no two infections grow alike.
It’s not just a look. It plays.
An infected instrument gets a second, hidden sequencer of its own. It starts with a single note. As the infection grows, it adds more, and they get stranger: wider leaps, rarer notes, off-beat rhythms, rolls and slowly mutating phrases. Always in key and on the beat, so stranger never means wrong. Your own patterns keep playing untouched underneath.
The corruption runs its notes through its own effect, which grows louder as the infection deepens. Set it to rotate, from delay to reverb to distortion, for pure chaos.
Let an infected device pass the corruption to the devices it’s wired to, one by one, until the infection is playing your whole rack.
Give the corruption control. It changes its own settings by itself, differently every time, within limits you set, and fades out cleanly when you stop it or a timer runs out.
You stay in charge. Every device starts clean; corruption only happens when you choose it. Set how fast it grows and how far it can go, turn the visuals down without stopping the sound, and hit PANIC to cure everything at once. Infections are saved with your project and grow the same way every time, so the set you rehearse is the set you play.
